Sweater post

I’ve wanted some new clothes, specifically sweaters. It’s beginning to get consistently cold. I like the idea of being warm and comfortable. I haven’t bought anything in awhile. But I also know I don’t really need more clothes, I rarely leave the house. I tried to be rational about it. Warm, comfort and knowing I will look cute at the grocery store won out.

I like smaller thrift stores. They don’t earn the large amounts that Goodwill and Salvation Army do, the money stays local, the prices tend to be lower and they often have better stuff.

Green sweater, front is regular knit but the back is polyester chiffon and very soft. It’s big and long and hangs down to my knees. ROC church thrift 2.34
Blue nubby sweater, another long v-neck. Bonus, glamorous view of my bathtub. Bathroom has the best lighting in the house, which is why I’m in here. Half price HIV thrift 2.49
Christmas ornaments, books and some postcards. I’m really enjoying the heck out of the Martha Stewart magazine, I could do a whole post on it. The postcards are neat, Currier and Ives winter scenes, cheaper than cards and they have Merry Christmas and Happy New Year printed on back so all you have to do is sign. I might send them out next year but I really like them so maybe not. Books .98 each, postcards 1.49, Christmas stuff was half off.
I didn’t know this was a series, I already have the Papa Bearinger ornament. ROC thrift 1.29 each.
I ordered the 4th ornament from Ebay and she arrived today. Technically not thrifted, but as the song says “it was 99 cents” and I am thrilled.
I’ve wanted a LL Bean ragg wool sweater for a long time. Still do, although this is the cozy feel I wanted. It’s cotton not wool, warm but not heavy. Goodwill, 4.54
